Week 7 Sketches

These are a few sketches from the Calendar Brief. This particular illustration is for week 7 (February 9th 2009 - February 15th 2009). The rules are to use 2 pre-set colours depending on the month (Black and blue for February) and to choose a specific date to illustrate an event/season etc. I chose to work on Valentines day


First sketch using hearts and a couple to represent Valentines day. The butterfly wings are supposed to symbolise "butterflies in your stomach".

Another sketch but using a different couple this time. I wanted to use a couple standing as i intended to have the option of incorporating the actual butterflies into the stomach to make that particular message clearer
